Variable or Split vertical axis scales
I'm charting figures that have about 5 numbers ranging from 1 million to 4
million and then the other dozen are all bunched together under half a million. Is it possible to have two vertical scales? for instance the initial scale from zero to half a million by units of $50,000 and then after $500,000, the scale goes from 1 million to 4 million in half million increments? |

Variable or Split vertical axis scales
You could plot a series on a second vertical axis.
Right click the chart series, choose options and in one of the tabs you can indicate this. -- Wigi http://www.wimgielis.be = Excel/VBA, soccer and music "Bone Daddy" wrote: I'm charting figures that have about 5 numbers ranging from 1 million to 4 million and then the other dozen are all bunched together under half a million. I meant: Right click the chart series, choose Format data series... and then
in the Axis tab. -- Wigi http://www.wimgielis.be = Excel/VBA, soccer and music "Wigi" wrote: You could plot a series on a second vertical axis. Variable or Split vertical axis scales
Here's an alternative approach. It's more work, but may be less confusing to
read than a chart with primary and secondary axes: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/BrokenYAxis.html - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Bone Daddy" <Bone wrote in message ...
