Default How do you link cells containing text?

I am trying to link cells so that when I enter text into one cell, it is
displayed in another cell. I am using Excel 2003, and I want to be able to
have a series of cells linked so that when one displays a certain text (no
matter what the others are displaying), a cell on a different page shows that
text. (I am using 'ticks' and 'crosses') Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks

Assuming you enter text on Sheet1 A1 and you want to link to Sheet2 F1
In Sheet2 F1=Sheet1!A1
