Default Change print titles (rows to repeat at top) on subsequent pages

I'm working on a spreadsheet with multiple sections, where I'd like to use
the "repeat rows at top" to designate a print title for all pages in the
first section, then designate a different row to repeat for all pages in the
second section.

(This is a function that Word supports for a multi-section document.)

I can do the same thing using multiple sheets in the same file, or by
manually inserting page breaks along with repeating the appropriate header
rows so that the correct header appears at the top of each page.

However, I'd prefer to have Excel do this automatically, if this feature is
available.

Yes, Excel has a feature that allows you to change the print titles (rows to repeat at top) on subsequent pages. Here's how you can do it:
  1. Open the Excel file that you want to modify.
  2. Click on the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click on the "Print Titles" button in the "Page Setup" group.
  4. In the "Page Setup" dialog box, go to the "Sheet" tab.
  5. In the "Rows to repeat at top" field, enter the rows that you want to repeat on every page of the first section. For example, if you want to repeat rows 1 and 2, enter
    Formula:
    "$1:$2" 
    (without the quotes).
  6. Click on the "OK" button to close the dialog box.
  7. Go to the first page of the second section.
  8. Click on the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon.
  9. Click on the "Print Titles" button in the "Page Setup" group.
  10. In the "Page Setup" dialog box, go to the "Sheet" tab.
  11. In the "Rows to repeat at top" field, enter the rows that you want to repeat on every page of the second section. For example, if you want to repeat rows 5 and 6, enter
    Formula:
    "$5:$6" 
    (without the quotes).
  12. Click on the "OK" button to close the dialog box.

Now, when you print the Excel file, the rows that you specified will be repeated at the top of every page of their respective sections. Excel will automatically switch between the two sets of rows as it prints the different sections.

there is 2 option in the FilePage SetupSheetprint titles for the rows to
repeat at the top and columns to repeat at the left.

You can have the 1st page with one set of column headers in print that is,
force a new page for the 2nd page and use that row as the row(s) to repeat.

Anything else would require printing 1st set of pages, change the header for subsequent
pages and print those pages -- all in a macro. Doable but not really advisable
for normal use.

You would probably be better off having two worksheets and printing them
at the same time by grouping the worksheets. When grouping sheets
don't forget to ungroup as soon as you are finished or risk severe damage.
