Default "countif" from multiple worksheets within workbook

How would I "countif" in multiple worksheet within a
workbook. Trying to total up VT time for employees Jan-
December on a summary sheet.

=sum(countif(stuff on page 1),countif(stuff on page 2))

That should do it.

What would the criteria be and what are the sheet names (any system or for
instance Jan-Dec)?
It is possible to count 3D with some twisting
in a single sheet how would your COUNTIF look like?
