Select the cell you wish to change, then hold down Ctrl button and left-click
on all the sheet tabs you wish the change to affect. Then re-format the cell as normally done and it will change on all the sheets you have highlighted. "Worksheets in a folder" Worksheets are in workbooks. If this is what you mean then Chuck has your answer. Workbooks(files) are in folders. If this is what you mean, you will have to open each workbook, do your formatting, save and close. You could use VBA to open all workbooks one at a time and do your stuff. See Ron de Bruin's site for code to open workbooks in a folder and work on each. http://www.rondebruin.nl/copy3.htm Gord Dibben Excel MVP On Sun, 22 May 2005 20:45:01 -0700, "boyd" wrote: can i change a cell (say i9:) which is a date in 1-13-02 format to january 13, 2002 format in multiple worksheets within a folder |
